It generates a distinct password for each platform every time you log in, ensuring credentials are not stored and eliminating the need to create or remember them. What is the DGMV 2FA Generator?
The DGMV 2FA Generator offers the convenience of not requiring a separate authenticator application, such as Google Authenticator, while providing all the same functionality, but without relying on cloud storage.
What is the DGMV Wallet?
While still in development, our interoperable wallet will support multiple blockchains and provide non-custodial and management services for your personal assets, credentials (e.g. diplomas, certificates, passports, driver licenses), self-sovereign identity, and other digital attributes. Besides all the authentication functionalities, it will also enable the secure sharing of data using zero-knowledge proofs.

Why do I need to set a Password for the DGMV-ID App?
At first glance, it might seem unusual to create a password for an app designed for passwordless authentication, especially when equipped with a password generator.
However, this password serves as an additional layer of security specifically for Seed Phrase encryption on your device. Its primary purpose is to thwart unauthorized access attempts by third parties.
What is the purpose of the DGMV Utility Token?

What is the difference between the consumer and enterprise versions of DGMV-ID?
The mobile applications are the same, but the licensing terms, functionalities and tools are different. In the enterprise application, everything is tailored for a business setting, with white-labeling, an enterprise dashboard, customized SLAs and support for OpenID Connect Federation. This is all about establishing trust and enabling single sign-on (SSO) between an organization's internal and external systems.
We will gather consumer feedback around the app’s usage during the initial rollout. Early adopters – such as DGMV token holders – will have the opportunity to provide constructive feedback and ideas for future development.
Why do I need a license?
The licenses are tailored to different purposes and audiences. The license key verifies access solely for authorized users.

How can I use the DGMV-ID Authenticator for existing websites that require usernames and passwords?
When you visit a website that requires a username and password, you can use the DGMV-ID Authenticator to scan the QR code found on your desktop (when using the browser extension) or mobile device (when using the app). DGMV Password allows you to manage and generate passwords for your mobile and desktop online accounts.
Can I use the same password profile created for the website and mobile version of a platform?
In most cases, account passwords will be the same for web and mobile logins, but you might need different credentials in some situations due to technology differences.
I have an online platform and I want my users to register and log in without usernames and passwords. Is the DGMV-ID Passwordless Authentication difficult to integrate?
No, it's not difficult at all!
The implementation of DGMV-ID is simple for service providers, requiring adjustments on their back-end to present a QR code and link public key information to their account database. By integrating our Identity Server, DGMV-ID can also seamlessly become part of a Single Sign-On Solution (SSO) through OpenID Connect (OAuth 2.0).

Stolen passwords are commonly traded on the dark web and exploited by hackers to gain unauthorized access to various platforms. This situation is made worse by the common practice of reusing the same password for multiple platforms, which often gives hackers a big advantage.
By contrast, DGMV-ID assigns each account a distinct password, providing maximum security and reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
What is MFA?
MFA stands for Multi-Factor Authentication, a framework comprising three essential steps:
Knowledge factor – something you know, such as a PIN, security question, or password
Possession factor – something you have, often a physical device like a mobile phone or a security token
Inherence factor – something you are, such as a biometric characteristic like a fingerprint or facial recognition
What is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of verification in the login process. For 2FA, you’ll need to provide a secondary piece of identifying information – such as an SMS, email or authenticator app code – as well as your username and password.
How can I enable 2FA on websites?
Many websites allow you to enhance security by enabling 2FA in settings. In most cases, you can either write down or print out a secret PIN or QR code to add your 2FA One Time Password (OTP) to your authenticator app. You can also add 2FA through DGMV-ID, which allows you to manage all your codes in one app, and has an autofill feature to make the login process even faster.
What data does the DGMV-ID App collect and store?
The DGMV-ID App collects and stores wallet settings and codes – never any personal data such as passwords. If you’d like it to store your username, there’s an optional setting to enable that.
Does DGMV-ID comply with current privacy rulings?

After three unsuccessful login attempts, you’ll have the option to recover your password.
To set a new password, you’ll need to enter your recovery phrase (also known as seed phrase).
How do I restore my account on a new device?
You’ll need your recovery phrase (also known as a seed phrase) – a sequence of 12 or 24 words generated by your blockchain wallet, and the main way to access and safeguard the assets inside it.
It’s critically important to record and safely store your recovery phrase, because it grants continued access to your assets if your wallet is deleted or lost. It allows you to restore DGMV-ID on a new device. It is crucial to keep it confidential to prevent unauthorized access to your account. With great power comes also responsibility!

AutoFill is a feature that automatically inputs data into browser forms, eliminating the need for manual entry. We’ve incorporated this into DGMV-ID to make it more convenient for you.

Advanced security measures
DigiCorp’s patent-pending password generation method creates intricate (160-bit) passwords when necessary, eliminating the need to remember them, write them down, or store them.
Firstly, we use a combination of elements (including, but not limited to, seed and domain) to generate a key, before performing special calculations to create a password.
This method effectively blends up your password into something unrecognizable, making it exceptionally difficult for anyone to guess it – and even accounting for sub-domains that might need to use the same credentials.
DGMV-ID has a flexible privacy authentication protocol, which allows you to safeguard your privacy or use advanced identification from your device. This protocol also has the potential to incorporate a permission model or arbitrary data signing in the future.
An enhanced user experience
Our password generator’s AutoFill function eliminates the need to manually copy and paste credentials as you log in. Built-in 2FA also means no need to switch to another time-based one-time password (TOTP) app during login – a feature that, in future, will allow secure sharing of 2FA tokens between devices without storing them in a centralized environment, copying QR codes or writing down keys.
Broader application scope
Our Identity Server supports OpenID Connect Federation, which allows providers and clients to trust each other without a direct relationship. In addition, our dashboard and white-labeling capabilities significantly enhance the appeal of DGMV-ID for enterprise-level applications.
